Container operator PIL Australia has announced the launch of a new multimodal solution from Brisbane to Fremantle.
Its new multimodal carrier haulage solution for shipments from Brisbane to Fremantle will provide a land-bridging solution from Brisbane to Melbourne.
On top of that, it’ll also provide a seamless direct connection to its weekly coastal service to Fremantle, ensuring its services are “the fastest and most reliable multimodal service to Fremantle”.
Key features of the new solution include the fastest time in market with a 16 day end-to-end transit time, two rail departures per week from Brisbane to connect on PIL’s weekly coastal AA2 service and international terminal transfers included.
Alongside this, the solution ensures through bill of lading issued from Brisbane to Fremantle, flexible pricing available at gross weight slaps, reduced overall CO2 emissions and a cost-efficient multimodal solution.
