Linfox has expanded Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) distribution centre in Sydney.

Linfox’s Regional Operations Manager Tim Fraser says P&G and Linfox project team members planned, designed, and constructed the Erskine Park facility.

“Our customer described the project as being delivered on time, within budget and with excellence,” Fraser says.

He says the extension adds 65 per cent storage capacity to the distribution center and also provides satellite technology and a temperature controlled area.

Linfox has also recently commenced transport operations in Indonesia from Jakarta to Palembang and Surabaya, and earlier this month announced that a partnership with global dairy company Fonterra was helping to improve Fonterra’s efficiency and safety.

Linfox Acting President Greg Thomas says the Fonterra partnership has led to the introduction of Linfox processes, including a tailored warehouse management system.

“Excellent resource management skills and strong purchasing power have also reduced operating costs for the business,” Thomas says.

“Together we’ve established an enviable safety record and our team is firmly focused on continuous improvement.”

Linfox operates Fonterra’s national and export distribution centre in Victoria, and provides chilled and ambient warehousing for its products.

Fonterra produces popular dairy brands and ingredients for export.

Its supply chain stretches from farms in New Zealand to customers in more than 140 countries.
