Pacific Highway night works to disrupt motorists

This weekend the Pacific Highway will undergo night works between Failford Road, Failford, and Tritton Road, Possum Brush for maintenance upgrades.

Transport for NSW will carry out work in the northbound carriageway, with traffic contraflowing on the southbound carriageway, with works including asphalt rehabilitation to improve road safety.

To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried from Sunday January 11, Sunday to Thursday from 7pm to 5am. Work is expected to be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.

Traffic control, contraflow arrangements, lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Operators of General Access Heavy Vehicles and Over Size and/or Over Mass (OSOM) Vehicles with a ground contact wider than four metres, must call ahead on UFH Channel 24 to be escorted through the work site.

Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.

It is advised that motorists drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
