Brisbane-based software provider Oniqua has grown its international network with the establishment of a new office in Africa.

Oniqua Africa is located in Sandton, Johannesburg, and will service South Africa and the entire sub-Saharan African region.

Neil Pollock, a long-time business associate and partner of Oniqua, has been appointed Vice President, Oniqua Africa, and will head up the new operations.

He says the expansion into Africa comes on the heels of the completion of the regional rollout of BHP Billiton’s global implementation of Oniqua Analytics Solution.

“I’m very excited about the tremendous opportunity Africa represents for Oniqua, and look forward to expanding our operations and presence further into the African marketplace.”

Headquartered in Brisbane, Oniqua Enterprise Analytics is the leading provider of MRO analytics software solutions for asset-intensive organisations.

It is an international software company with operations in Australia, the Americas and now Africa, and serves the leading mining, oil and gas and utilities companies in more than 25 countries around the world.

Existing clients in Africa include tier one mining companies such as Rio Tinto, Exxaro, Goldfields, Newmont Gold and BHP Billiton.
