Ofload strengthens its C-Suite with it latest hire

Growing digital freight and logistics platform Ofload has added former Woolworths Group Director Dean Newman to its senior management team in the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Ofload founder and CEO Geoffroy Henry says having Newman join the business is a big win for growth.

“Dean’s appointment marks a significant milestone in Ofload’s journey. He brings unmatched industry insight, deep operational experience and a proven track record in both digital transformation and execution,” Henry says.

“Dean’s leadership will be instrumental to our continued growth and development.”

Newman joins Ofload with more than 30 years experience working in supply chain transformation, operational leadership and digital enablement.

His most recent work was Director of Primary ConnectX and Innovation at Woolworths Group. At Woolworths he was also involved in leading the design and launch of a national award-winning digital trading platform.

Talking about the new job, Newman says it presents a chance to be involved in the scaling of a growing business.

“Ofload is reshaping the future of freight; combining technology, sustainability and commercial agility in a way few others have,” Newman says.

“I’m excited to join at such a pivotal time and help drive the next phase of growth, as we scale nationally to deliver smarter, faster, and more sustainable freight outcomes for businesses and carriers who rely on us.”

Newman is a former president and chair of the Australian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI) and holds and MBA and a Master of Integrated Supply Chain Management.
