A north Queensland supply chain management company has renewed a multi-million dollar stevedoring, storage, transport and logistics contract for Asian trade.

Supply chain management provider NSS today announced it had entered a new commercial agreement with Mariana Express Lines, which provides shipping services to importers and exporters in Townsville, Cairns, Darwin and northern Queensland.

Under the agreement, the NSS will stevedore containers on the import-export chain from China and Southeast Asia.

Materials to be handled include containerised zinc metal from Sun Metals and containerised copper from Xstrata.

NSS Business Development Manager Ross Grenside says he was pleased to begin the new partnership.

“Mariana has been a trusted client of NSS for a few years now, so we are very pleased to continue and strengthen our working partnership with them,” Grenside says.

NSS provides supply chain management services in regional Queensland.
