When it comes to delivering Bundaberg Brewed Beverages products, Toll subsidiary NQX is taking the EziLine, using Freighter EziLiner B-double trailers for the task.
Toll Logistics has successfully trialled the Freighter EziLiner in the past and added various adaptations including drop-deck EziLiner models to its fleet because of its suitability for different operational environments, optimisation of load capacity and ability to be configured to its requirements.
As well as taking advantage of the trailers meeting all regulatory requirements for load restraint and occupational health and safety, NQX has added some special touches to make the trailers even more productive.
Chief among these was extending the length of the A-trailer to add two extra pallets, at the same time shortening the B-trailers by the same amount, so that 36 pallets could be carried instead of the regular 34 pallets.
Also, to meet load restraint guidelines, the EziLiners also incorporate easy-to-use sliding gates which not only provide appropriate restraint but help drivers and users overcome the need to lift heavy gates.
The trailers offer productivity improvements through time-saving during loading and unloading, even more so on the new B-doubles.
The EziLiner’s simple use of a lever to provide automated vertical tension for the curtains has made it easier and faster to operate and avoids the repetitive nature of opening and closing buckles and straps.
