Nominations for the Craig Roseneder Award are now open.
A jewel in the National Trucking Industry Awards crown, the prize celebrates innovation and excellence in the workshop by an individual.
The Castrol-sponsored Craig Roseneder Award will be presented on October 26 at the Castrol Awards Dinner during the Paccar & Dealer Technical & Maintenance Conference held at Automotive Centre for Excellence at the Kangan Institute in Docklands, Melbourne.
The award is open to any individual who works full-time as a workshop manager or mechanic in the Australian trucking industry for a trucking company, supplier or commercial workshop. Nominees need to have at least five years of experience in their field. Self-nominations are not accepted.
This year’s winner will receive a full registration to attend the American Trucking Associations’ 2014 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee, return economy airfares, premium accommodation, $1,500 in spending money and a partners’ program registration if applicable.
The winner will also receive a complimentary registration to the 2014 TMC.
The 2012 winner, John Schulze, was at the time the Mechanical Services Manager of FBT Transwest in Victoria.
Schulze says the award inspired people to reach the highest standards in their work.
“To get an award like this and be recognised by the industry is great,” he adds.
“These are your peers. It’s great that they have faith in you and the work that you do.”
