Former Kathmandu chief supply-chain officer a seasoned executive in field
The recruitment impacts of TM Insight’s bold international foray continue, with supply chain and property specialist nabbing former senior Kathmandu executive Caleb Nicolson to head the New Zealand arm.
The company sees the move as strengthening its position across the Tasman, where it has already done business, at a time of rapid change in the market, and comes swiftly after having bought XAct Solutions.
Formerly Katmandu’s chief supply-chain officer, Nicolson will also work alongside the company’s leadership team to deliver on TM Insight’s strategy to design and deliver world-class supply chain solutions to customers across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
“The acceleration of ecommerce in New Zealand presents an opportunity for local organisations to leapfrog the rest of the world who are challenged with legacy supply chains to quickly scale up and advance their operations,” TM Insight Travis Erridge says.
“Caleb is a recognised global industry leader in supply chain and retail and is best placed to help organisations in New Zealand with their supply chain transformations. His understanding of global best practice supply chain solutions and extensive local market knowledge will ensure organisations can capitalise on the rapid adoption of ecommerce.”

Nicolson brings with him more than 20 years of experience in supply chain and retail, the company notes. Over the last decade, he led the design and delivery of Kathmandu Group’s global supply chain and development of its online capabilities across its $1 billion brands, including Kathmandu, Rip Curl and Oboz Footwear. He was most recently the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Kathmandu.
“Organisations are grappling with the rapid growth in ecommerce, which is challenging many supply chains from a service, capacity and cost level,” Nicolson says.
“Many organisations will need to assess their supply chain strategies, redefining and building the required capabilities to exceed customer expectations.
“I look forward to combining my extensive supply chain, retail, change management and business leadership with TM Insight’s market leading integrated capability in supply chain and property to help customers navigate and deliver success,”.
“As a previous client of TM Insight during my tenure at Kathmandu, I was attracted to TM Insight’s unique integrated service offering in supply chain, property and project management, which provided an end-to-end solution for organisations.
“I am further encouraged by the depth of capability the recent acquisition of XAct Solutions brings and I’m excited to be leading this service offering in the New Zealand market.”
