New Thailand distribution hubs for Tesco

New distribution hubs in remote areas of Thailand are improving efficiencies for Tesco, according to company management

New distribution hubs in remote areas of Thailand are improving efficiencies for Tesco, Tesco Operations Manager Kevin Lloyd says.

Lloyd says the two new distribution hubs have reduced dead miles, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance costs.

“Local deliveries originating from the hubs also allow us to provide more accurate delivery time estimates and reduce driver fatigue,” he says.

Linfox transports ambient and fresh products from four Tesco distribution
centres (DCs) on the outskirts of Bangkok to 1,306 Tesco Lotus hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores across Thailand.

The two new hubs are at Surat Thani in Thailand’s south and Khon Kaen in the north east.
