New manufacturing boss for revamped Iveco

Iveco appoints new Australian manufacturing head as part of executive shake-up

Iveco has appointed a new Australian manufacturing head in the wake of Giorgio Gallia taking the reigns as managing director last week.

Kaine Tamlyn, formerly a maintenance and facilities manager and corporate quality manager, is the new Director of Manufacturing for the truck maker.

Gallia says he is an ideal candidate to replace outgoing manufacturing head Jason Martin.

“Kaine’s strong experience in all areas of manufacturing combined with his excellent product knowledge make him well equipped for the position,” he says.

Tamlyn says he is looking forward to building on Iveco’s commitment to building the best product for Australian conditions.

“Iveco is committed to going the distance for its Australian customers and I am delighted to play an important role in providing customers with an excellent product range and great service,” he says.

Meanwhile, Gallia says his role will be extended to include managing the company’s sales and marketing department following the departure of former director Mark Strambi.

Gallia will concentrate on a “customer-driven sales and marketing approach”, he says, to help consolidate Iveco’s market position in Australia.
