NatRoad has released a short announcement detailing all roads in regional NSW that are currently closed due to recent flooding events.
The National Road Transport Association (NatRoad) has given the following announcements regarding road closures due to flooding in New South Wales (NSW):
The Kamilaroi Highway remains closed in both directions between Gunnedah and Boggabri due to flooding.
Northbound traffic can use the Oxley Highway to Coonabarabran, Newell Highway to Narrabri and Kamilaroi Highway to Boggabri.
Southbound diversions from Narrabri via Newell Highway to Coonabarabran, then Oxley Highway to Gunnedah.
The Kamilaroi Highway is also closed between:
- Spring Plains Road and Purcell Avenue east of Wee Waa.
- Motorists can use the Newell Highway and Gwydir Highway which will add around 70 minutes extra travel time.
In the Central West:
- Lachlan Valley Way remains closed between Wongajong Road at Forbes and Warraderry Way at Gooloogong.
- The diversion is via the Newell Highway, Mid Western Highway, Gooloogong Road and Warraderry Way.
NatRoad says motorists should allow plenty of extra travel time for these diversions and are reminded never to drive through floodwaters.
