Metro Trains Melbourne appoints new general manager of operations

Metro Trains’ latest general manager of operations has multiple decades of experience in the rail industry

Metro Trains Melbourne has announced a new appointment, with the experienced Sarah Kelley set to become the operator’s new general manager of operations.

The largest urban rail network in Australia, encompassing 17 lines, announced on LinkedIn that it welcomes Kelley, who brings with her 27 years of experience in rail and light rail management.

After starting off working with onboard catering for the UK’s Intercity Railway – Western region, Kelley has had a diverse career in rail that includes being a train manager working at depots and stations as well as moving through several operational grades.

Kelley’s most recent role before joining Metro Trains was as the general manager at TorrensConnect, the tram operator in Adelaide.
