Airconditioning fault forces Mercedes to recall Vito and Viano vans
October 26, 2010
Mercedes-Benz Australia-Pacific is recalling a number of Vito and Viano vans after discovering problems in the airconditioning fans.
In the recall notice, Mercedes-Benz says that in “unfavourable circumstances” fan relays can suffer localised overheating during “extreme weather conditions”, which will cause them to fail.
To fix the problem, Mercedes-Benz is asking for the vehicles to be returned to an authorised dealership to have the additional fan relay replaced with a modified version free of charge.
