Mercedes-Benz is recalling its Sprinter vans after some were fitted with incorrect units

September 20, 2010

Mercedes-Benz is recalling a number of its popular Sprinter vans to replace the headlights after a batch of the vans were fitted with incorrect units.

In the recall notice issued Friday September 17, Mercedes-Benz says a number of right hand drive Sprinters, Type 906, left the production line fitted with left hand drive headlights.

As a result, the incorrect alignment of the headlights could dazzle oncoming drivers, even with the lights dipped. Mercedes-Benz will replace the headlights with the correct right hand drive-aligned light units at no cost to the owners.
