To ease congestion and improve safety for freight operators and motorists, the M5 Motorway between Heathcote Road in Wattle Grove and the Hume Highway in Casula will undergo temporary traffic changes.
This work is part of the construction of the M5 Westbound upgrade, and will begin works from Monday February 2, 2026 to Saturday February 14, 2026.
The traffic changes are due to drainage, geotechnical and pavement investigation work along and around the M5 corridor.
Work will be carried out during the day from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, with night work scheduled from 6pm to 7am Monday to Friday.
Partial lane closures and traffic control will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.
Road users are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
