LRTAQ names Young Person in Transport finalists

The winner of the award will be recognised with a trip to Melbourne to visit the PACCAR and Cummins factories and head to the Melbourne Cup

The Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of Queensland (LRTAQ) has announced the four finalists for its Young Person in Transport Award 2025, which will be presented at the Bull Carter’s Ball on February 19.

The 2025 finalists are:

  • Damon Kajewski – Martins Stock Haulage
  • Rhys Johnson – Dulacca Transport
  • Tom Craig – Frasers Livestock Transport
  • Jaidyn Ericksen – C Brooks Livestock and General Carriers

The award was developed to recognise and acknowledge the contribution of young transport workers in the industry.

Member businesses were encouraged to nominate outstanding individuals aged 35 years or younger for the award, with the LRTAQ Management Committee hoping the recognition of young people through the award can encourage young people to pursue careers in the industry.

The award is sponsored by Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems.

The winner of the award will win a trip to Melbourne to attend the Melbourne Cup and visit the Cummins and PACCAR factories.
