DHL Supply Chain has been appointed by Fresenius Kabi Australia to manage its growing warehouse and logistics requirements in Australia.

The major global manufacturer of essential lifesaving products for critically and chronically ill patients has signed a five-year contract with DHL for storage, inbound and outbound functions that were previously managed in-house.

DHL is managing the distribution of Fresenius Kabi Australia’s product line of more than 400 products from its healthcare-grade facility at Horningsea Park. A dedicated team is set to be responsible for receiving, storing and dispatching Fresenius Kabi’s products in Australia.

Established in 2020, DHL’s Horningsea Park facility is Australia’s first carbon-neutral warehouse. It is a dedicated facility for storing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, vaccines, animal health, diagnostics and consumer health products.

The 35,000 square metre site also has a 30,000-pallet capacity to manage future growth for customers.

DHL supply chain Australia CEO Steve Thompsett says he’s pleased to fulfill Fresenius Kabi Australia’s 3PL needs.
