DHL Express announces changing of the guard

DHL Express has announced news relating to its Australia and Papua New Guinea leadership

Leading international express service provider DHL Express says its senior leadership will transition to a new phase at the end of this year.

The company announced the retirement of current Australia and Papua New Guinea CEO and senior vice president Gary Edstein at the end of 2022.

Current vice president of commercial Australia Phil Corcoran will ascend to the role of Australia and Papua New Guinea’s managing director from January 1, 2023 and will report to DHL Express’s CEO of Asia Pacific in Ken Lee.

“Gary has dedicated his career to DHL and he has been instrumental in positioning DHL Express as a market leader in Oceania,” DHL Express Asia Pacific CEO Ken Lee says.

“He has increased our market share and revenue, built the partner network and laid a solid foundation for future growth.

“I’m excited to see Phil Corcoran taking over the mantle. I’m very confident he will continue to build on the success with the support of a very knowledgeable leadership team in the region.”

Edstein will retire after 36 years of service, with 20 of those spent leading the Oceania, Australia and Papua New Guinea regions of DHL Express.
