Jones to step down as CEO after five years at post
Linx Cargo Care Group reveals its new CEO will be global investment giant Brookfield’s managing partner and head of Asia, Patrick Boocock.
The move comes as present CEO Anthony Jones resigns after five years at the helm and 23 years in the company and its previous incarnations.
Boocock is to join the group from July 1 and begin working closely with Jones and the Linx senior leadership team over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
He has been with Brookfield since 2009 and led businesses on behalf of Brookfield previously, including as CEO of Australian Energy Transmission & Distribution (AET&D) in Perth, global CFO of Multiplex and most recently leading and expanding Brookfield’s asset management platform in Asia.
“Patrick comes to the role with significant experience in growing, scaling and transforming businesses and working collaboratively to achieve shared objectives,” Linx says.
According to Brookfield, Boocock previously held various senior positions in the infrastructure financing and development sector in Canada.

Jones underlines his belief in the positive future ahead for the firm.
“To move on from Linx Cargo Care Group was a difficult decision to make, especially after investing my career over the last 23 years with the then-Patrick business and now Linx Cargo Care Group,” Jones says.
“However, I know I leave Linx Cargo Care Group in a sound position and continue to stand by my long-term, genuine belief in the Group’s people and its future in Australia and New Zealand’s logistics supply chain industries.”
Linx notes Jones began his career with the Patrick business, now Linx, some 23 years ago on the wharf at Port Botany.
“During his tenure, Anthony has been a valued leader who was instrumental in the establishment of Linx following the separation from Asciano in 2016,” it states.
