Toll links with 7-Eleven on ParcelMate service

Domestic parcel delivery solution was launched last year

Transport and logistics provider Toll has been enlisted as a delivery partner for 7-Eleven’s ParcelMate service.

The 24/7, 365-day-a-year parcel delivery service is included at 280 locations nationwide and offers either a domestic standard or domestic express option.

The platform, using Hubbed and Swipbox technology, will now be backed by Toll’s delivery service and network, Toll Global Express president Bruce Wilson says.

“The partnership with 7-Eleven brings a new convenient offer to consumers, allowing them to send parcels when it suits them all backed by the strong delivery service,” he says.

“This is an exciting new offer for consumers.”

Wilson became Toll’s Global Express head in 2016

7-Eleven head of innovation, strategy and business development Stephen Eyears adds: “We can work with parcel service providers worldwide, and other businesses, to allow them to use our pick up service for their customers.

“Parcel collection services are available at a range of locations with different providers. By investing in developing our own platform, we have the option to work with any delivery partners we choose for parcel pick-ups.

“The lockers have been installed in 280 stores over the past two years, and we are currently working with our key partner Toll, and also DHL and Couriers Please.”

The outbound parcel service is the next step in of 7-Eleven’s ParcelMate locker system which started to roll out in 2018, and allows consumers to collect their parcels at a day and time that suits them.

It plans to extend the service to about 400 stores nationwide by the end of 2019.
