Linfox partners with Telstra on T&L hackathon

Participants to use technology to problem-solve issues in sector

Linfox is supporting the 2019 Telstra Innovation Challenge, an internet of things (IoT) hackathon which this year is aimed at the transport and logistics industry.

The third iteration of the event challenges participants to use technology to find solutions to issues within the sector.

This year’s problem statement is:

“Linfox want to develop innovative IoT solutions for the transport and logistics industry to improve the operations and field staff experience and provide new value to the market.”

The two themes involve:

  • Improving the operations and field staff experience: including driver availability; warehouse operational and efficiency and reliability; and safety and wellbeing
  • Providing new value to the market: including customer freight tracking, social and environmental responsibility; improve existing services and explore new services.

The challenge has two separate streams: University, open only to current University students; and the public, open to all interested participants able to attend the Telstra Labs in Melbourne for the week of the challenge (25th May – 1st Jun).

Both streams will conclude with a joint pitch, demonstration and awards event in Melbourne at the conclusion of the challenge on June 1, 2019.
