ACFS picks Eastern Creek for new e-commerce facility

ACFS e-Solutions warehouse to service vertically integrated parent’s business

 

Calibre Estate in Eastern Creek will host ACFS Port Logistics subsidiary ACFS e-Solutions’ planned  e-commerce and third-party logistics (3PL) facility.

ACFS e-Solutions, formed to meet e-commerce’s “growing and complex demands” nationally, aims to transform the warehouse into a technology hub to drive efficiency and speed to market, following a deal signed with property developer Mirvac.

“We are delighted to develop a Western Sydney hub in Eastern Creek that optimises solutions for customers in a fast, efficient and dynamic form,” ACFS e-Solutions GM Natalie Wallace says.

The 20,680 square metre warehouse is to have five docks, substantial office space and capacity for unpacking and packing of more than 100 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of containers a day.

It is also to have for 800 TEU worth of container-rated hardstand.

“It is the right facility that complements ACFS’s vertically integrated businesses, from road, rail, warehouse to e-commerce solutions. ACFS is removing the risk from doing business in a complex e-commerce environment,” ACFS Port Logistics CEO Arthur Tzaneros says. 

Facility operations are expected to begin in February 2019.

“ACFS e-Solutions compliments the variety of service provisions to market, and this new site gives customers confidence and closes the loop for distribution and customer excellence,” Tzaneros says.

“It is our job to remove the risk and complexity with doing business in an e-commerce world, with the added benefit of a multi-modal transport network; our customers now have a one stop shop for e-commerce, warehousing, transport and rail.”
