Miller joins Flinders Ports board

Vacancy filled after Chris Langford resigns from board

CBRE Australia senior director Christine Miller has been appointed to the board of South Australian private port operator Flinders Port Holdings (FPH).

Flinders chairman John Marlay says Miller had an “exceptional background in the logistics industry,” having held roles with logistics organisations AP Moller (Maersk) and XAct Solutions.

“Christine has a very strong background in logistics and supply chain solutions, and we are looking forward to welcoming her to the Board and working with Christine for the advancement of the FPH Group,” Marlay says.

Miller will replace Chris Langford, who stepped down after first joining the company in July 2012, shortly after FPH acquired the Adelaide Container Terminal from DP World.

Marlay thanked Langford for his efforts, noting that FPH had seen a 2.7 per cent compound average growth rate in cargo volumes in his six years on the board.

“Chris was a valued member of the Board who took a collegiate approach and was always very willing to bring his depth of experience to bear in an appropriate manner,” Marlay says.

“We wish him every success for his future endeavours.”

The change comes after former FPH general manager Stewart Lammin become CEO of the organisation in March, with Vincent Tremaine stepping down after 16 years in the role.
