DB Schenker bags five-year Shell contract

Deal includes international freight forwarding and customs clearance services

 

Integrated logistics services provider DB Schenker has won a five-year contract to provide international freight forwarding and customs clearance services to Shell Australia.

DB Schenker says it will use its global network of oil and gas offices that are specialised and accustomed to the unique logistics service requirements of the industry to support the new contract.

“The operations team in Brisbane, Darwin and Perth will be supported by our state of the art DB Schenker iTeams software solution that allows for full visibility and tracking through all stages of the logistics cycle,” the company notes.

“We are proud to continue our global relationship with Shell in Australia to supply both QGC (Queensland Gas Company) in Queensland and the Prelude FLNG (Floating Liquified Natural Gas) facility in Western Australia with international freight and customs clearance services,” DB Schenker director projects / oil & gas Australia and New Zealand Frank Vogel says.

“With our dedicated people around the world we have a strong record of operating safely and efficiently even on the most remote sites.

“This contract will support our goal to become the market leader in the industry by 2020.”
