CouriersPlease expands flexible delivery service

New deal with Westfield and Stockland shopping centres will see 31 parcel locker locations

CouriersPlease expands flexible delivery service
New POPStations are available across 22 Westfield and nine Stockland shopping centres.

CouriersPlease (CP) has partnered with Westfield and Stockland to offer parcel pick up and drop off facility to online shoppers.

The exclusive partnership will allow local online shoppers to collect or deposit their packages at designated points at 31 shopping centres across Australia.

Customers will be able to redirect parcel delivery to a dedicated parcel locker (called POPStation) during the goods transit process in case they will not be available to sign for it at the time of delivery.

Once a customer receives an email or SMS notification that their order is on its way, they can choose to redirect delivery to a POPStation.

The service will be available at select CP-partnered online retailers.

CouriersPlease states that according to market research, 48 per cent of shoppers collect parcels from flexible delivery locations because they are not home to receive the parcel, and 29 per cent choose delivery collection points for the convenience.

"In our rapidly evolving retail environment, customers and retailers alike are migrating online to meet the growing demand for convenience and choice," CP CEO Mark McGinley.

"CP’s partnerships with Westfield and Stockland are helping to evolve goods delivery alongside the changes in retail, and helping consumers combine their enjoyment of online shopping with the bricks-and-mortar retail experience.

"We partnered with technology company TZ in 2015 to develop the POPStations, when we knew the Australian market needed more flexibility in parcel deliveries.

"POPStations enhance the online shopping experience for Australian shoppers by allowing customers to send parcels at a time that suits them, at a location that suits them."
