Truckline is optimistic about its new online shopping service.

 

Australian aftermarket truck and trailer parts retailer Truckline has launched a brand new e-commerce shopping option from its website.

Customers will now be able to browse and order parts directly through the shopping cart, in a move hoped to benefit customers in regional and remote areas as well as urban customers seeking a more modern, streamlined service.

Truckline’s product inventory extends to over 25,000 different parts, which will be shipped from its two distribution centres in Queensland and Western Australia.

The Truckline website has been redesigned to include photos, product descriptions, specifications, as well as a search button that allows customers to search via category or brand.

Truckline general manager Mick Henderson says he expects customers will embrace the new online shopping option.

"We will be able to process orders and ship them quickly, no matter where the customer is located," Henderson says.

"It is important our customers are able to access our products from wherever they are in Australia, even if they’re in a remote area."

Truckline will maintain a dedicated assistance line – 1300 552 525 - for specific enquiries or emergencies.

The number will put customers through to their nearest Truckline branch.

It’s intended the website will be a "one-stop shop" and will include videos, white papers, customer testimonials, staff and vendor stories, expert articles and product updates.

Henderson says the business has a loyal customer base, with 73 per cent of customers using Truckline for over five years.

"In addition to customer service our priority is to provide quality parts while keeping costs down. We believe this latest move into e-commerce is just an extension of this commitment," Henderson says.

"The option to buy online is what people have come to expect and we’re proud to be able to offer that service."

Customers will have their own log-in and access to personal information such as pricing and preferred products.

"Our vision was to design a website so comprehensive that customers could use it as a guide for everything they need to know about their trucks.

"This is a never-ending job that will remain our benchmark for our future development."

Truckline is owned by European capital goods company CHN Industrial and has 24 stores nationally.

It supplies parts and accessories for all makes and models of North American, European and Japanese commercial vehicles.
