Direct Freight Express opens new facility in NSW

New purpose-built depot added to DFE's expanding national network

Parcel delivery company Direct Freight Express (DFE) has expanded its national distribution network with a new facility based in NSW’s Central Coast.

The Gosford facility is DFE’s 42nd depot in Australia, and the 10th to join its network in the last 12 months.

There are plans to further expand the company’s presence in regional Australia.

MD Joe Catania says DFE has an edge over bigger parcel delivery companies in Australia, with a large network across regions that its competitors are yet to reach.

“We’re the only parcel delivery business with company-owned and operated offices in Bega, Nowra, Cairns and Alice Springs, and we welcome Direct Freight Express Gosford to our national distribution network,” Catania says.

The company has invested in latest technologies to become one of the “best” parcel delivery providers in the road transport sector, he says.

“We’ve invested in purpose built terminals with the added smarts of automated sorting systems allow us to take on additional capacity if required.

“We’ll be rolling out this infrastructure and technology in many regional company depots which will further improve our package handling efficiency but more importantly keep our customers coming back.”
