ARTIO/RWTA briefing event to kick off in NSW

Toyota forklift experts and high-profile media performer Pascoe to feature

Attendees at the inaugural Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation NSW Branch/Refrigerated Warehouse and Transport Association NSW Branch breakfast briefing will have the opportunity to be briefed on Australia’s economic and business outlook as well as learning about developments in forklift safety, according to Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation (ARTIO) NSW Branch secretary/treasurer Hugh McMaster.

“ARTIO NSW and RWTA NSW are most grateful that leading Australian business and economic commentator and journalist, Michael Pascoe, has agreed to speak at our Breakfast Briefing,” McMaster says.

“Michael’s has four decades’ experience working in newspaper, broadcast and on-line journalism and has covered an extremely diverse range of business and economic issues.’

“Michael fights to keep things in perspective against a background of a 24-hour news cycle, the availability of an increasing amount of data and a political climate based on the pursuit of power over the national interest.,

“With Donald Trump on the verge of inauguration as president of the United States and growing support for populist politicians in many Western countries, Michael’s presentation will be both timely and relevant.

Meanwhile, Tony Raggio and Stan Palmer from Toyota Materials Handling Australia will cover emerging trends in forklift safety and automation.

“Tony and Stan’s presentations will cover engineering safety and standards as well as innovative areas dealing with automation and driverless forklifts,” McMaster says.

“This means attendees will hear how new developments in forklift science and technology which are supplied through Toyota Materials Handling Australia can contribute to a safer and more productive warehousing environment.

Contact the ARTIO NSW office via email, hughmc@artionsw.com.au, or telephone, 0412 880861 should further information be required on this Briefing,’ Mr McMaster said.

The briefing will be held on February 14 and registrations close on February 10.
