Pursey will lead the company’s service delivery and operations in Australia and New Zealand
John Pursey has been promoted to the role of managing director of operations at Yusen Logistics from his former position of business unit director – contract logistics.
Pursey will lead the company’s service delivery and end-to-end operations in Australia and New Zealand.
“This is a key appointment for Yusen Logistics as we prepare to continue our record-breaking performance,” Yusen Logistics Australia CEO Ian Pemberton says.
“John has worked with leading blue chip clients across automotive, pharmaceutical, technology and retail sectors.
“His wide experience, gained over 15 years in executive management roles for the Yusen Group in both Europe and Australia, will enable him to make a major contribution to our on-going growth as a competitive provider of best-in-class logistical services.”
Pursey will continue to serve as an executive director of the company.
Yusen Logistics was formed in 2011 through the merger of NYK’s freight forwarding business Yusen Air & Sea and its domestic logistics business NYK Logistics.
