B&H Worldwide opens Sydney climate-controlled facility

Close to airport, new asset built due to aviation customer demand

Specialist aerospace logistics firm B&H Worldwide has opened a new climate-controlled storage facility to support its aviation customers with specific service requirements at Sydney airport.

B&H currently provides a suite of specialist logistics services to aviation customers including airside collection and delivery, unserviceable parts processing and repair management as well as brakes and wheels management and aviation tyres storage and distribution.

The purpose-built facility’s construction followed consultations with customers and their vendor, B&H says.

The new facility which features temperature, humidity and contaminant control capabilities was created within B&H’s existing premises.

“Having access to climate controlled storage so close to the airport is becoming an increasingly important feature for many of our customers,” regional director Steve Moralee says.

“We are now able to provide the reassurance that their climate sensitive components will retain their quality and integrity and can be called upon for urgent delivery without the time and cost impositions previously experienced.

The facility, which has built-in expansion capabilities, can store a variety of aviation related shipments from gels and adhesives through to avionics components.

“Our new climate controlled capabilities in Sydney are a natural expansion of the specialist aviation and aerospace services we have built our reputation on,” Moralee says.

Regionally, B&H has a presence in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
