Pack & Send hails seven per cent growth

Express courier won’t give figures but says growth last financial year was record-breaking

Courier and logistics franchise Pack & Send has reported a fourth consecutive quarter of profit growth for the three months to July this year.

Domestic shipping volumes increased by 10.0 per cent over the full financial year, while international shipments grew by 35.5 per cent.

These increases helped underpin a seven per cent increase in combined operating profit for the year.

The company has not provided the before or after figures for each of these metrics.

Still, CEO Michael Paul says the results highlight how the franchise network has adapted to the changing international parcel freight market that is experiencing a surge in e-commerce-related business-to-consumer traffic.

“We are currently shifting into another gear of innovation and improvement in order to stay ahead of the curve,” he says.

“We’re continuing to invest in the future with new technology and systems allowing us to engage with more customers and leverage opportunities in more markets.”

He says Pack & Send’s network is based on multiple sales channels; including retail service centres, fulfilment centres, a call centre, and online courier booking systems.

“This gives us the flexibility to meet the growing demand of complete solutions in sending anything, anywhere.”
