DP World revamps customer portal to real time

DP World Australia updates online portal with real-time business data and vehicle KPIs

DP World Australia customers will now have access to real-time shipping and transport data after the container terminal stevedore launched its new online portal in Sydney yesterday.

Replacing the older ‘DP World Australia Portal’, the company says the new ‘Customer Portal’ displays live data from its terminal operating system to aid customers and supply chain partners.

“We now have access to a wider range of information than ever before,” DP World Australia chief commercial officer Max Kruse says. “Now we would like to share it with our customers and stakeholders.”

“It provides DP World Australia with a strong competitive advantage.”

The portal, found at customer.dpworld.com.au, contains performance data across all four Australian terminals and, to help customer schedules, the KPIs for the company’s container, vessel, road and rail operations.

Across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle, users can see how many vessels are currently docked, how many trucks are in yard, and the truck and container turnaround times.

“As well as the access to live updates on container, vessel, road and rail information, customers will have instant access to invoices,” Kruse says.

“The system offers the live status of slot utilisation each day with the ability to see road transport slots which have not been taken up and are available at each terminal and zone.”

Information on a specific container or vessel is also available.

DP World Australia says it is currently developing a mobile version of the portal.
