Chep has launched an updated version of its Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Retail Display Pallet.

The new design builds upon the first generation FMCG Retail display pallet, and includes features that aim to increase both the safety and the versatility of the pallet.

One of the main new additions is the implementation of a racking cradle into the design. The racking cradle allows operators to both beam rack the new pallet, as well as stack them atop traditional wooden Chep pallets.

"We conducted tests in accordance with ISO standards to ensure that the FMCG Retail Display Pallet could be beam racked under load at elevated temperatures, and the results were positive," Chep Business Development Manager Frank Vittoria says.

The new pallet has also been given a safety boost thanks to the addition of anti-slip rubber grommets. These have been added to the top to minimise load movement, as well as to the underside on the forklift entry points so that it is less likely to fall off the fork tines whilst the pallet is being moved.

The Chep FMCG Retail Display Pallet is also designed to fit the majority of manual handling equipment, thanks to its 735mm fork entry width.
