FTA gains alliance link with Price & Speed

Busy container and trade services firm joins industry lobby as offerings expand

Sydney container services firm Price & Speed has linked with logistics and trade lobby Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA).

The move comes at a busy recent period for Price & Speed, which recently started airfreight inspections Monday to Friday with the availability of pre-booked arrangements over weekends.

FTA Director Paul Zalai states that Price & Speed has met industry’s needs for managing flowers and fresh produce direct from the airport to an advanced cool room with fumigation chambers, adding “the solution allows freight forwarders and customs brokers to immediately process time sensitive cargo and to on-deliver to importers’ cool-rooms in the quickest possible time”.

Speaking at the recent inaugural FTA Executive Forum, Price & Speed Managing Director Kevin Malouf focused on compliance issues faced by industry in relation to wide loads and overweight containers through to issues associated with the operation of a fully manned Quarantine Approved Premise and Customs licenced Sec 77G depot.

“We are a 24 hour operation and CFS approved depot for overweight boxes to come back directly from the wharf to be readjusted,” Malouf said.

On the impetus for his firm’s alliance with FTA, he says that “it provides a respected voice for industry, ensuring compliance with a wide range of import/export statutory provisions and operational support to the freight and trade sectors”.
