Singapore-based intra-Asia freight specialist Jetsea Logistics will adopt an integrated cloud-based business solution from logistics technology company CargoWise.

Along with boosting productivity, the company aims to use the CargoWise ediEnterprise solution to
enhance customer service.

According to CargoWise Vice President of Business Development for Asia Mike Coney, Jetsea Logistics is one of a number of new customers in Singapore, where a high level of competition has forced an increased focus on productivity.

"Freight forwarders like Jetsea Logistics are increasingly looking for opportunities to boost productivity in the short-haul airfreight market where margins are tight," Coney says.

"We are seeing a steady escalation in the number of companies switching to CargoWise and its ediEnterprise cloud solution to deliver the productivity and on-going improvements necessary to achieve its business objectives," he says.

Founded in 1994, Jetsea Logistics has a staff of 20 and provides a full complement of air and sea freight services, as well as multi-modal transportation, warehousing and logistics management.

Jetsea Logistics Director Tay Hsu Li, says he chose CargoWise’s ediEnterprise solution as part of a decision to make a change from a decade-old system.

"We found ediEnterprise to be very comprehensive in terms of having all our departments business processes enabled in a single integrated solution in one single portal," Tay says.

"This was something we did not have with our previous system.

"We also found the overall cost of implementing and using CargoWise solutions to be very reasonable in comparison to other solutions."
