BEUMER Group company Crisplant will continue its responsibility for the maintenance of DHL Express sortation technology in Dublin,
Ireland.

A leading global supplier of materials handling systems for conveying, loading, palletising, packaging, sortation and distribution, Crisplant installed the HUB tilt-tray sortation system, for DHL in 2007.

With a capacity of 6,400 items per hour Crisplant’s tilt-tray sortation system has an impressive availability rate of 99.64 percent.

The renewed three year contract covers the management and implementation of all maintenance and repair activities for the system on site.

Crisplant’s service will also cover preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as well as contingency plans, analysis and system optimisation and spare parts management.

As part of the BEUMER Group, the onsite Crisplant team follows “Best Practice Guidelines” with a Six Sigma approach to ensure smooth running of the system.

Since the original system was installed, the Crisplant team has also developed and integrated numerous reporting and measurement concepts to enable more efficient maintenance scheduling and resource management, in line with DHL Express’ business planning.
