Australia’s only manufacturer of satellite communication products, Beam Communications will exhibit at CommunicAsia 2012 in Singapore, in June.

A wholly owned subsidiary of ICT manufacturer and distributor World Reach Limited, the Melbourne-based company specialises in voice, data and tracking solutions for the Maritime, Transport and Mining industries among many others.

Beam plans to exhibit its range of new satellite communications terminals and docking stations at CommunicAsia 2012,
Asia’s largest ICT exhibition and conference held June 19-22.

The company says its newly released docking stations for Iridium Extreme
are the toughest satellite handsets ever made.

Beam is the first manufacturer in the world to receive certification from Iridium Communications for the docking solutions which extend the functionality of Iridium Extreme satellite phones so they can be used for voice, data and tracking services.

Applications include in-vehicles, on vessels and in other remote locations where easy or enhanced access to satellite communications is required.

Beam will also have its Maritime satellite communication terminals, Oceana 400 and Oceana 800 on show.

These terminals are designed to be utilised in a wide variety of marine applications throughout the world. The Oceana terminals operate with the Inmarsat FleetPhone maritime satellite service.

Other technology on display includes land based satellite communications terminals Terra 400 and Terra 800, which can be used in a wide range of applications such as a dedicated telephone service or a back up emergency telephone.

Terra terminals operate with the Inmarsat LinkPhone land satellite service.
