New order pickers from Adaptalift Hyster

Adapt-A-Lift Hyster unveils a new low level order picker range developed to optimise the speed and ease of picking from both sides of a warehouse

November 18, 2011

Adapt-A-Lift Hyster has unveiled a new low level order picker range developed to optimise the speed and ease of picking from both sides of a warehouse.

First seen at Europe’s CeMAT 2011, the Hyster LO2-2.5 range has an intelligent design combining energy efficiency, reliability and ergonomics to achieve excellent operator pick rates and low cost of operation.

One of the most notable design elements of the range is
its ‘man to goods’ proximity and the comfortable work platform with reduced height that helps minimise movement and saves valuable time in the picking operation.

A large platform provides more space for the operator and allows easier pass through with easy on/off access.

To move the low level order picker, Hyster has developed an easy to operate scooter control with fingertip controls for use when on the platform.

Operators can also move the order picker to the next pick location without having to climb on board with the creep speed control on the side of the truck.

SCOOTER CONTROL

Hyster’s new
low level order pickers have a 2,6kW motor for high performance acceleration and travel speed to ensure maximum productivity over a full shift of picking.

The trucks include regenerative braking, anti-roll back on slopes and offer excellent energy efficiency, allowing the performance to be set to suit the application.

Sufficient ground clearance means that warehouse debris, uneven floors or ramps won’t hinder these trucks.

The range includes models for ground level picking or frequent second level picking requirements.

The LO2-2.5 with a scissor lift function will be available from January 2012, and includes a raising operator platform or independent forklift for second level picking.

“The new low level order picker from Hyster offers one of the most efficient and cost effective solutions for the fast supply of customer orders,” the company says.

It is available with a variety of options and fork lengths for picking to pallet or roll cage, it also performs well in horizontal transport activities such as cross-docking and load shuttling.

“With this introduction, Hyster now has one of the best ranges of order pickers on the market including the new K series of medium to high level order pickers and C range of leading VNA equipment.”
