Local manufacturers can now find more space with a mezzanine shelving structure in the warehouse to gain a higher load capacity per square metre.

Metalsistem’s mezzanine structures can be utilised in open plan spaces with no requirement to place shelving on the top as well as also providing you with clear and open floor space.

Constructed with the company’s Super 456 series, the Metalsistem mezzanine structure is manufactured in Italy to stringent EU standards to suit any elevated floor configuration you have in mind.

The uprights being closed in design, are coupled together via the interlocking spacer plates, which then enable the further construction of further column-based elevated structures.

These structures are radically different from the traditional pallet racking based mezzanine.

The columns have 8 connection points which allows for 8 beams to be connected at 90 degree angles on the one level, allowing a huge span below the structure and enabling companies to fully utilise all their available floor space for shelves and store bulk items as well.

The Super 456 series is available with a range of interlocking accessories to satisfy all storage and operational requirements and like all Metalsistem raised floor structures, you have the availability of a full catalog of flooring surfaces to choose from including perforated floors, ribbed floors as well as an anti-slip floor option.

“Safety rails, stairs, guide rails, loading gates and other safety and productivity features are incorporated into the structure itself, not added as an afterthought,” the company says.

Pick-faces, lifts, conveyors and other automated systems are easily incorporated into the Super 456. All Metalsistem accessories – such as hanging rails, multi-adjustable steel and plastic bins, shelves, dividers and containers, plastic, steel, or timber shelves – can be used in the Super 456 to store anything from tyres and exhaust pipes to small parts and clothing, electronics or even food and pharmaceuticals.

All the frames are constructed from 3.1B certified high-tensile steel, which are tested to comply with the main international accreditation bodies such as the TÜV for loading and FEM for the design.
