Manitou upgrades its Manitransit range

July 8, 2011

Manitou has introduced its new telescopic truck mounted forklifts, the Truck Mounted Telescopic (TMT).

The company says the need to conform to EURO III norms offered the opportunity to modernise its Manitransit range (2500 kg and 2700 kg load capacity).

The models concerned have been given new names to avoid confusion.

The MT 25 I is for industrial applications and the TMT 25 S and TMT 27 S, with stabilisers, are for applications requiring more capacity or use on difficult terrain.

These latest versions have benefited from numerous technical improvements and provide the customer with significant advantages.

NEW ENGINE TYPE

The 3 new models are equipped with a KUBOTA engine:
– 4 cylinders in a row/ 2.4 litres diesel
– Power 50 CV – 36.5 kW @ 2700 tr/mn
– Reduced pollution levels
– Better cooling (fan powered by engine)

Kubota was chosen for its reputation, the quality of its products and the lower periodicity of the maintenance of its engines (500h instead of 250h), which significantly reduces maintenance costs in terms of intensive use.

MORE CAPACITY

Thanks to the hydraulic engines of 2 x 400 CC at the front and 1 x 565 CC at the back, the standard traction strengthens the machines’ grip on the ground and facilitates movement on difficult terrains.

The new design of the stabilisers enables the large offset capacity to be increased by 30 percent.

GREATER STURDINESS
The monobloc and mechanically welded chassis, as well as the hoses adapted to truck mounted forklifts, enable guaranteed intensive usage of the Manitransit.

GREATER
SAFETY AND COMFORT
Improved balance distribution ensures the optimal unladen stability for the upgraded Manitransit range.

Braking efficiency, and therefore the safety of the operator, is guaranteed thanks to 3 standard braked wheels.

360° visibility is optimal as the cab has been raised to 2.4 m (overall height).

The version lowered to 2.20m is however still an available option. The improvement of the dashboard (now digital) and the rear lighting offer excellent working comfort.
