The all-new Crown RM6000S delivers a 30 percent greater lift capacity coupled with unprecedented levels of vision for operators

According to Crown, the RM 6000S reach truck will allow new warehouses to be built up to 15 percent higher.



"The RM 6000S brings to
fruition years of industry research, industrial design, ergonomic design and technological advancement by the Crown Research and Development team," says Crown Equipment Australia General Manager Marketing Craig Kenchington.


The most striking visual feature of this reach truck is its single mono offset mast, giving operators, for the first time, virtually unimpeded sight from the ground up.

In addition the unit’s industry-leading reach of just under 13 metres, and its ability to deliver up to 450kgs more capacity at height, marks it as a benchmark for the future.


"I cannot remember another reach truck that broke such new ground in terms of capacity, visibility, and operator efficiency," Kenchington says.



Crown says the RM 6000S highlights the company’s investment in technologies that deliver operational productivity as well as operator safety and efficiency.


"Everything about the RM 6000S breathes efficiency and safety, from the low profile chassis for a lower centre of gravity to the suspended cabin floor that offers operators high levels of comfort," Kenchington enthuses.


"The Crown MonoLift mast allows operators to experience significantly reduced mast sway and twisting resulting in more confidence, less time waiting for the mast to steady and more time moving loads."

The Crown RM 6000S addresses maintenance issues by having the lift cylinders, hoses, cable and chain housed within the mast. They are protected from the operating environment, while still readily accessible for service.


Crown Equipment product manager Maria Schwieterman adds the Crown RM 6000 will allow managers to gain 15 percent more pallet positions simply by filling open slots at the top of racks.

"And, it’s all achieved by a reach truck that delivers exceptional visibility, controllability and performance," she says.


Schwieterman says Crown put in extensive work to reduce the reach truck’s use of energy including technology that actually gives energy back.

"Two examples include the ‘Regenerative Lowering system’ on the mast and ‘Regenerative Braking system’ that convert the kinetic energy produced to a usable form of energy rather than, as in conventional mast operations and brakes, into heat," she says.

"This conversion to usable energy considerably extends the run-time of the vehicle."


The performance of the RM 6000S is enhanced by Crown's Access 123 Comprehensive System Control that provides optimum performance using the intelligent coordination of lift truck systems, and can be tuned to match the specific requirements of applications and operators.


Access 123 technology also makes possible the OnTrack Anti-Slip Traction Control feature which monitors truck dynamics and greatly reduces tyre spin during acceleration, plugging and braking.


Crown's AC motor, controller, and drive unit are designed and engineered by Crown specifically for lift truck applications, with the closed loop AC traction control system maintaining top speed throughout the battery charge.

This provides improved acceleration and plug reversal contributing to greater productivity.


However, when it comes to achieving lift height and capacity, it is Crown’s MonoLift mast the company claims makes all the difference.


"The lift height and capacity qualifications of the Crown RM 6000 enable customers to gain greater flexibility throughout the warehouse by allowing most loads to be placed at any height and/or at any open slot," Schwieterman explains.

"They also can help deliver significant financial benefits related to warehouse design and construction."
