Linfox has introduced Thailand’s first dual temperature controlled trucks and trailers to its fleet for Tesco Lotus.

Country Manager James Allmand says the new fleet provides efficiencies with greater carrying capacity, combining chilled and frozen goods and fitted with latest aerodynamic designs.

“The fleet complements Tesco’s recently opened Lumlukka Fresh Distribution Center at Pathumthani,” Allmand says.

Forty-one new Fuso rigid trucks feature extended chassis to provide greater carrying capacity.

The Lamberet multi-temperature truck bodies each contain twin compartments to service delivery of Tesco’s range of frozen and fresh produce to stores.

The freezer compartment is chilled to -25ºC and the fresh food compartment to 4ºC. Each vehicle has three evaporator units, two for the freezer compartment and one for the fresh.

The truck bodies are fitted with aerodynamic kits to reduce drag and fuel consumption.
