New boss seen as a builder of associations and businesses
NatRoad has tapped senior livestock industry identity Warren Clark to be its new CEO.
Though he has had finance experience, Clark has used the past 20 years to focus on leading or overseeing the likes of Australia Meat Holdings, the Poll Hereford Society, Herefords Australia, and more recently director new markets at Australian Rural Exports (Austrex).
Most recently, for two and a half years, he led the Livestock Biosecurity Network, established in 2013 by the Sheepmeat Council of Australia, Cattle Council of Australia and Wool Producers Australia.
“Warren’s experience in building associations and businesses will help ensure the continued growth of our association and strengthen NatRoad’s ability to support our members’ long-term viability in our industry,” NatRoad president Allan Thornley says.
A chartered accountant, Clark arrives following the departure after six months of Warwick Ragg, also a senior rural industries operative who was Australian Forest Growers CEO.
NatRoad says Clark has more than 20 years’ experience leading and developing business for emerging companies.
He is to begin in his new role on November 2.
