Fox says the partnership will help Linfox push innovation and improvements
Linfox has announced a strategic partnership with Monash University with an aim to obtain leadership and executive education for its staff, and drive industry research, innovation and technological advances across the supply chain network.
The company says its staff and Monash researchers will utilise the university’s virtual reality tools, advanced analytics and systems modelling expertise to identify technological advances aimed at enhancing supply chain capability.
“Linfox is pleased to partner with Monash to deliver world-class education and training to our people and collaborate on research into industry-trends, innovation and technology,” Linfox executive chairman Peter Fox says.
“We recognise that success begins with our people and we continually invest in their ongoing learning and development.
“Linfox has a long history of partnering with prestigious global universities.
“This investment brings our education and research needs under one roof, with Monash our partner of choice for qualifications, leadership training and short courses.”
Fox says the multi-million dollar partnership will help the company tap into research resources and remain aware of latest technological advances.
“We need to innovate to stay on top of the game.
“We’re developing smarter, more efficient transport and warehouse operations for our customers by working with Monash on new ways to use advanced analytics.
“We’re also inspiring our people to think differently about complex supply chain challenges, developing our own innovation hub based on Monash’s technology hub.”
The university is optimistic the collaboration will be a win-win for both parties.
“This partnership brings together Australia’s largest and most international university with one of Australia’s largest and most successful supply chain companies, demonstrating Monash’s long record of working with industry to translate world class research into positive impact,” Monash University president Margaret Gardner AO says.
“Monash was recently identified as one of Australia’s most innovative universities in Thomson Reuters’ Asian ‘Top 75’ innovation index and strives to develop solutions to the great challenges of the age.”
“The University already has strong ties to Linfox through our alumni network and recent projects,” Monash deputy vice chancellor Frieder Seible says.
“We look forward to collaborating on further research and education opportunities.”
