Linfox is celebrating the successful deliver of another Australian Grand Prix.

Linfox is celebrating another successful Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix as a key part of the events set up, pull-down and overall logistics operation.

The partnership between Linfox and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation has been ongoing since 1996 when the event moved from Adelaide to Melbourne.

2025 marked a record event attendance with an estimated 465,000 people passing through the gates over the four-day race weekend.

The mammoth task undertaken by Linfox involves the transformation of area around Albert Park Lake – which is usually public parkland – into a world-class motorsport site capable of supporting tens of thousands of concurrent attendees.

“An amazing effort by our Linfox team once again, working behind the scenes to meticulously support the major logistics operation of converting Albert Park into a world-class racing track for the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix,” the company says.

“Linfox is proud to be trusted for our unwavering levels of safety and attention to detail.

“With the race now over, the dismantling process has now begun.”

In 2023, Linfox detailed the fact a team of 40 people works for 12 weeks to complete the project, seven weeks of which is dedicated to preparation and building alone.

3100 4.5-tonne concrete barriers are delivered and installed across 620 truckloads, while 53,000 tyres, 3000 debris fences and 260 general admission stands must also be delivered and assembled.

Linfox President Resources and Industrial Gary Pyne praised the ongoing partnership between the company and the global sporting event.

“Trust and reliability are at the heart of our relationship,” Pyne says. “We couldn’t be prouder of our people who always deliver this project with the highest standards of industry safety, compliance, security, risk management and professionalism.”

The 2025 edition of the Melbourne Grand Prix was won by McLaren Driver Lando Norris. Norris’ teammate – Australian Oscar Piastri – finished in ninth.

Australian Jack Doohan and New Zealand’s Liam Lawson both failed to finish the race.
