The livestock body has renamed itself to more accurately reflect its members
The Livestock and Bulk Carriers Association has rebranded to become the Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association (LBRCA).
Effective as of late September, the decision to include rural transporters was unanimously agreed to at a special general meeting on September 15.
In a note to its members, the organisation says the move to the LBRCA “accurately reflects all operations carried out by our members.”
“Our name has changed but our objectives remain the same,” the messages continues.
“We remain a customer focused grass roots Association dedicated to improving regional road freight conditions in NSW.
“We will continue to provide a united and powerful voice to government and work hard with other industries and supply chain partners to get a better deal for our members and the rural freight industry as a whole.
“We will continue to keep you informed about what’s really going on the industry and what we’re doing for you through our weekly updates.”
The decision came into effect on September 22.
