Founding chairman set to remain in the role until at least August 2018
Dr Kerry Schott has been reappointed to her position as chairman of the Moorebank Intermodal Company, which is developing an intermodal terminal in the western suburb of Sydney.
In extending her term for a further three years, infrastructure minister Warren Truss and finance minister Mathias Cormann say Schott’s leadership will provide an important level of continuity and stability to the project.
Schott has been chair of the company since it was formed in December 2012. She provides a wealth of experience in infrastructure, investment and public policy, the ministers add.
The Moorebank Intermodal Company is working with the Sydney Intermodal Terminal Alliance – a joint venture between Qube and Aurizon – to create the new intermodal terminal using a mixture of former Defence department land and private real estate.
Schott holds a number of other public directorships, including with NBN Co and the NSW Treasury Corporation.
