Kenworth T360 and T410 test drive

Kenworth officially unveiled its new T360 and T410 models with a launch at the Australian Automotive Research Centre (AARC) near Anglesea, Victoria in March.

The Australian-built trucks follow the release of the T610 which was launched in 2017.

With its tight turning circle and shorter bumper-to-back-of-cab (BBC) measurements, the T360 is aimed at high capacity metropolitan operators, especially where access is limited.

The T360 is available in 6×4, 8×4 and 10×4 axle configurations. The Cummins ISLe5 is rated from 280 up to 400hp. Transmission choice is an Allison 3000 or 4000 series, as well as the Eaton Manual or Eaton UltraShift Plus.

The T410 is being marketed for vocational, intrastate and interstate distribution as a rigid, single or multi-trailer combination configuration.

The T410’s set-back front axle and BBC is 2845mm (112 inches). Kenworth says the T410 can be rated up to 70 tonnes GCM, making it suitable for PBS and tipper-and-dog combinations.

The Paccar MX-13 powers the T410, the engine available in either 460 or 510hp variants. Importantly, the new T410 is the first Kenworth to be offered with the 12-speed Paccar transmission.

However, for applications between 50 tonnes and 70 tonnes GCM, an Eaton Manual or UltraShift is available upon application.
