Business value plummets to zero as potential buyers steer clear.
An attempt to resuscitate key parts of the Keeforce and Fresh Produce Logistics transport group has been abandoned, just a few days after it was announced.
Administrator Ferrier Hodgson says all parts of the business will now be wound up, with the last deliveries now being finalised.
Customers have been advised to pick up all goods in transit today, while the last staff will be made redundant from the close of business.
A spokesperson for the business advisory service says two potential buyers had been identified early during the administration, which began on January 28.
However, neither party was able to negotiate terms for key parts of the Keeforce Group, even as these were separated from the rest of the associated businesses.
“We had to find a buyer very quickly,” the spokesperson says.
“Unfortunately, that meant the buyer had to act very quickly as well.”
The redundant workforce includes around 180 drivers.
